This has been a year of challenges and blessings. Among other things, for 12 weeks we participated in a business class sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. That meant every Friday we traveled the 4 hours between Santa Barbara and Tegucigalpa in order to be on time for the class, all day Saturday. Every week, well prepared professionals taught us a little more about how to turn an idea into a reality.
At the end of the course, we were surprised to find out that our project had been chosen as one of the top 5. That means that we will receive a bit of help financially to advance our project and a lot of help in advice concerning where to go from here.
The most gratifying part of this honor is the understanding that there are people who understand what it is that we are trying to accomplish with the Eco-Premier project. As one man put it, with many projects, the idea is to enter into competition with others for an existing market, but with your project it is “win-win-win” for everyone. We look forward to having that become more and more a reality in the new year.
